Around Cordillera (Ifugao, Mt. Province, Benguet)

Travelling around Cordillera Administrative Region for work has been one of my life’s blessings in the past three years. The views of  lush mountains and breathtaking terraces are (always) treats to the senses.
Here are photos taken during a trip to Ifugao last 27-30 July 2016.

When in Lagawe, Ifugao, one must definitely try one of its local Cafes (Palazzo 2 Cafe)

We travelled from Baguio City to Ifugao via Ambuklao Rd to lessen travel time (Baguio to Lagawe only for 5 hours with a private vehicle). However, we decided to pass through Mt. Province via the Banaue-Bontoc Rd for a more scenic route and this is certainly one of our best decisions for this trip. 🙂

 Hello, Mt Province!

Along the Mt Polis Rd (Bontoc, Mt Province 1 hour away from Banaue) , cold springs are everywhere. We decided to stop by in one of the better maintained springs to fetch drinking water. Lucky us there’s only one person on queue before us. Hello fresh spring water from the mountains! 🙂

For lunch, we stopped by Mia’s Cafe (cafe and restaurant owned by the family of the late actor Marky Cielo). The cafe is located on the right side of the road on the way to

Atok, Benguet (watch for trucks full of cabbage, carrots and other upland vegetables)
total hours of travel= 7 hours including numerous stops to enjoy the view and
take pictures 🙂
Have fun in your next Cordillera adventure!
